Holographic acupuncture

Balance System Acupuncture (BSA) has its origin in the ancient classical texts of acupuncture from the Nei Jing. Based on the concept of holography, this approach has the distinctive feature of treating the area that is “out of balance” from a distance. No needle is placed on the affected part of the body.

The theory of holograms is a fundamental principle that exists in the Universe. This theory can be applied to various practices, in particular acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, whose theoretical foundations include observing and understanding the principles that govern the human body and human life.

The human body and human life are part of the Universe. At the microcosmic level, the human body reflects the macrocosm.

Because all the body's systems are naturally interconnected, an imbalance can be treated by stimulating the corresponding area of the microsystem that represents that specific part of the body.

When a specific structure of the body is unwell or not working properly, the corresponding point or area in the microsystem will be sensitive or painful on palpation.

This term refers to a holographic model of representation used with the Balance System (BSA). In this microsystem, the entire human body is projected on a small scale onto the skull. I often use it to treat all kinds of pain, tremors and tingling along the spine, in the neck, in the back or in the limbs.

Ear acupuncture and the NADA protocol

Ear acupuncture is one of the microsystems I use to act on different areas of the brain or the body, following a very precise map.

At the end of a session, I sometimes also place ear seeds, so that you can stimulate the targeted area yourself by pressing on them in the days following the treatment.

The NADA protocol (National Acupuncture Detox Association) is a specific approach that uses 5 points located on the ear. It was developed in the 1970s by Dr Michael Smith, at the Lincoln Recovery Center in New York, and is now used worldwide.

Working together, the 5 targeted points promote:

  • deep relaxation
  • stress regulation
  • the balance of the autonomic nervous system
  • a reduction in anxiety
  • support through times of transition, grief or overload
  • better sleep quality
  • being more present to yourself

First recognized for its effectiveness with addiction and detox, the NADA protocol is now widely used in mental health, notably for PTSD, in community settings or in the field, in refugee camps for example.
